Flora’s fashion in loving memory…

FLORA GILL CHERISHES HER DAD’S WARDROBE

What a beautiful idea of Flora Gill’s – the 26 year old daughter of the late Sunday Times journalist, A.A. Gill who died last year. She decided to rework a couple of her dad’s favourite suits so that she could proudly wear them and feel really close to him after his death.

The result is amazing. She brought them back to the original tailors in London, Anderson & Sheppard who lovingly retailored them to fit her female silhouette. “The suits don’t make me mournful about dad; they give me the strength and confidence he instilled in all of his children.” Personally, I think it’s a very special way of remembering a close member of a family that transcends gender.
